The Best Oatmeal

This quick and easy recipe uses your slow cooker overnight to have a warm
breakfast ready for you and your family early in the morning. The work (if
you can call it work) is done the night before.
2 cups milk
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup oatmeal (not the instant kind, but the slower cooking kind)
1 cup chopped apple
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation Instructions:
Apply cooking spray or grease the inside of your slow cooker. Pour milk into
crock-pot with remaining ingredients and stir. Cover just before going to
bed, turn on the low setting. By morning it will be ready. Add more milk as
desired.
Makes 4 servings
