by Debbi DeSisto
An everyday meal that's easy, filling and tasty.
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (15 oz) can chunky spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon oregano
6 oz mozzarella cheese
8 oz macaroni, cooked and drained
Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet until ground beef is lightly
browned. Place into your slow cooker. Add spaghetti sauce, water, garlic
salt, ketchup, and oregano. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Add
macaroni and mozzarella. Cover and cook for an additional 2 hours on low.
Note: If you are in a hurry: toss all ingredients except macaroni and
mozzarella into your slow cooker without precooking ground beef and onion.
Then 1/2 hour before serving add ground beef and mozzarella.
