1 (4 to 5 lb) fresh beef brisket
2 cups water
1 (1-1/2 oz) envelope Lipton's dry onion soup mix
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
Place brisket in your slow cooker. Combine water with soup mix, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Pour over brisket. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
To make gravy: In a small saucepan, stir 1/4 cup cold water into 4 tablespoons flour until flour dissolves. Add 3/4 cup cooking liquid. Cook and stir until bubbly. Continue cooking for an additional minute.
Make 8 to 12 servings.
